Hello ladies! I hope that you find this blog enjoyable and one that you can relate to in many ways. My goal is to encourage, uplift, and bring laughter to your day. I have found that as a pastor’s wife & being involved in ministry, it can be very easy to isolate myself from others in an attempt to protect my heart, but in doing so I invite a different type of heartache. I have allowed God to guide and direct my relationships, finding myself on a journey and down a path of heart-felt friendships.
Surrendering my heart and life to the Lord as a young adult, my passion to serve Christ and others became my focus. I felt God’s calling into the ministry, partnering with a man God designed just for me. But just in case I didn’t find that certain someone, I had a plan B…to become a nurse and serve as a medical missionary overseas. However, that was not God’s plan. He brought a wonderful man into my life and we have been married for 15 years. Shane has a heart for God and a passion for people much like my own. We complement one another in many ways. We are not perfect by any means, but God has brought us through great storms and we are stronger in our relationship with Him and each other.
We have two beautiful daughters, Kiersten Leigh, 12 and Breanna Nicole, 9. Both love the Lord and have a strong desire to serve others. They have been blessed by God in so many ways and we are extremely proud of them! Breanna was called to be a missionary this past fall while our missionaries Jim and Meg Thacker were here ministering to our adults and children during mission’s convention. Both our girls are eager to take their first mission’s trip in the near future and I know it will be a very special time for our family.
Again, I hope you find this blog enjoyable! Have a wonderful day!
